CalcNest

Privacy policy

Effective October 30, 2026.

The short version

The numbers you type into CalcNest stay in your browser. We don't use cookies, advertising, tracking pixels or third-party analytics, and we don't ask you to create an account.

Calculator inputs

All calculations run in JavaScript on your device. When you change an input, the page writes the values into its own address (the part after the “?”) so you can bookmark or share the result. That address is only sent to our server if you load or share the link; anyone you share it with can see those inputs, so avoid sharing links that contain details you consider private.

Server logs

Like almost every website, our web server records standard request logs: the page requested, date and time, IP address, browser user-agent and referring page. We use them in aggregate to count visits, spot errors and block abuse. Logs are kept for up to 90 days and are not sold or shared, except where required by law.

Email

If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply and to fix the issue you reported. We delete correspondence after it has been resolved and is no longer needed.

Children

CalcNest is a general-audience site and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your choices and rights

Because we hold no account or profile data, there is usually nothing to access or delete. If you believe we hold information about you — for example, an email — write to [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. Residents of California and other states with privacy laws have the right to know, delete and opt out of the sale of personal information; we do not sell personal information.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the effective date above. Material changes, such as adding advertising, will be described on this page before they take effect.
